George's Marvellous Bike Ride is an annual charity ride. It was started in 2012 in memory of George Hutchings who had quadriplegic Cerebral Palsy. George was nine when he died and GMBR's aim is to raise money for youngsters with Cerebral Palsy and the charities/organisations/groups who do so much to enhance their lives.
UPDATE December 2016:
Thank you to everyone who took part in this year's ride.
This was our most successful GMBR to date with over 60 riders taking part to raise funds for a fantastic local cause - Stepping Stones.
As a district specialist centre for children with special needs, the charity offers support to hundreds of families throughout the region.
The miles everyone put in have been converted into ££££s, and this year's grand total stands at £4,754!!! A fantastic amount that will make a real difference to the families who use the services provided by Stepping Stones.
And there's still time to donate if you haven't already - just click this link and follow the instructions - https://localgiving.org/charity/georgesmarvellousbikeride/
Once again, thank you for your support and we look forward to seeing you again next year.
